After several months looking forward to it and much tweeting, the inaugural DIBI (Design It Build It) Conference took place on Wednesday (28th April 2010) in Newcastle upon Tyne, well The Sage at Gateshead to be specific. This is my review of the highlights of the day.

I've just bought my ticket for the first DIBI Conference to be held in Gateshead on 28th April 2010. I haven't been to many web design conferences in the past however the speaker line-up and affordable pricing (less than £130 on Early Bird pricing) meant that I decided to attend this rather than FOWD down in London later in the year.

On Wednesday night I attended Speak The Web in Manchester - the last in a series of evening pub-based web conferences around the North West which have also taken in Sheffield, Leeds and Liverpool. The Manchester event took place at NoHo - a bar nestled in the Northern Quarter - making it an ideal location for a lot of Manchester-based web people. This article is my review of the evening and the speakers.
